A couple of firsts for today… My first blog/gallery post of my first ever wedding shoot! I was being a second photographer to Stephanie O’Callaghan of http://www.stephanieandnicole.co.uk, thank you very much for asking me to assist you, Steph, it was a fantastic experience.
To say I was nervous was an understatement… from primarily coming from an automotive background, becoming a wedding photographer for the day was the complete opposite to what I’m used to.
My goal for the day was to capture the candid, unposed shots - my favourite type of photography - which made for a very enjoyable experience. Matt and Emma were fantastic, so easy and chilled, so thank you to them for making my first wedding a great one!
I learnt a few valuable lessons, one being to take off my polariser filters inside… I had bought the CPL filters a few months ago and had completely forgotten about them being in front of my lenses, hadn’t even thought about them - it was only at the end of the day did it suddenly click and perhaps that is why I was having to push my ISO so high indoors… lesson learnt! School boy error…
Congratulations to Matt and Emma, I hope you had a brilliant day.
